Dead Water is an experimental, narrative short film about a thirty-something man's attempts to reconcile his sexual confusion and his inability to relate to those around him as the world faces a mysterious, cataclysmic transformation. Drawing inspiration from genre films, everything from horror to romantic comedies, and European art films, the work of Rainer Fassbinder and Ingmar Bergman especially, Black Fish synthesizes these elements into a film that both challenges and satisfies the conventions of high and low art. Production will begin in May of 2014.
